In addition to awarding grants to community organizations, we also provide student awards, scholarships, and bursaries for students.

If you are the successful applicant:
- Payment of the award shall be made to the educational institution the recipient will be attending upon proof of enrolment in the form of an official document from the educational institution at which the recipient is attending (i.e. letter from Registrar).
- The recipient’s name(s) will be published on the Community Foundation for Lennox & Addington website.
- All information collected will be used for the sole purpose of reviewing the application.

Established in 2009, this award is made possible by the donation of Stuart Uens in remembrance of his mother, Charlotte. The Uens family understood the value of working hard. It is designed to help those students who share the Uens’ values of hard work and education by providing annual awards to graduates of Napanee District Secondary School for their post secondary education. Successful applicants will receive up to $5000 in support for their post-secondary education in a university, college, or apprenticeship programs.
Established in 2024, this student award is made possible by the donation of David Field and family in remembrance of his wife Mary Jo. The Field family understand the value of working hard. They also made education a priority. Understanding that the cost of education could be prohibitive for some students, they established this fund. It is designed to help an Indigenous student, who shares the Fields’ values of hard work and education, to take the next step to a post-secondary school education.
The successful applicant will receive $2500 in support for their post-secondary education.
Established by the Napanee Sports Association in 2007 in memory of Richard Dickson and Terry Gray, the Napanee Sports Association’s Athletic Award was introduced to recognize and reward an individual’s dedication to sports and education. The program provides financial assistance to a graduating secondary school student who participated in a Town of Greater Napanee sports program over their high school career and has been accepted at a recognized education institution at a post-secondary level.
The successful applicant will receive $750 in support for their post-secondary education.
Established by Martha Embury in 2022, the Stoney Steps Artfest Stone Mills Award for the Arts was introduced to recognize and advance art education in Stone Mills Township. This award will be given to a graduating high school student who is a resident of Stone Mills and who has been accepted into a post-secondary program in the arts, (art, fine arts, music, graphic design), and has been involved in leadership initiatives during their secondary years geared towards positive change in their community, with added emphasis on the arts.
The successful applicant will receive $500 in support for their post-secondary education.
Established in 2020 by Laurie French, The Trustee Laurie French Youth Leadership Student Award will be given annually to a graduating high school student who is a resident of Lennox and Addington County and has been accepted into any post-secondary program and has been involved in leadership initiatives during their secondary years geared towards positive change in their community. The student will have demonstrated qualities and actions towards making improvements on behalf of their peers, including those who don’t often have a voice.
The successful applicant will receive $250 in support for their post-secondary education.
Established in 2004, The Werk Poole Student Award was introduced as a tribute to Werk Poole, a leader in the Napanee community for many years.
This fund annually disburses an award to a graduating secondary school student, resident of Lennox and Addington County, who has been accepted into a Leadership Training Program. The student will have demonstrated knowledge of, and interest in, the qualities inherent in leadership roles. Significant community ties and volunteer experience would be possible indicators of a student’s commitment to a leadership program.
The successful applicant will receive $1,775 in support for their post-secondary education.

100th Anniversary Student Award
Established in 2002, this fund annually provides an award to a high school graduating student of Lennox and Addington County who has been accepted into a social work program (BSW MSW) at a Canadian University.
The successful student, chosen from the pool of applications for other awards listed, will receive $300 in support for their post-secondary education.
Camden East Women’s Institute Student Award
Established in 2006, this fund will provide an annual award for a Napanee District Secondary School student to attend a community college as follows: this student should be a resident of Camden East Ward #1 / Newburgh Ward #2 areas and awarded based upon criteria set out by the Camden East Women’s Institute. Candidates will be recommended by Napanee District Secondary School.
The successful student, chosen by NDSS, will receive $260 in support for their post-secondary education.
Goodyear Student Award
Established in 2002, the Goodyear Award provides an award to a graduating high school student from Lennox and Addington County, for the purpose of post secondary education and training in technical education.
The successful student, chosen from the pool of applications for other awards listed, will receive $600 in support for their post-secondary education.
L&A Stewardship Council Student Award
Established in 2013, the L&A Stewardship Council Student Award provides an annual award for a student who is involved in charitable activities promoting responsible land care and stewardship of our natural environment.
The successful student, chosen by the Stewardship Council, will receive $1000 in support for their post-secondary education.
Lloyd Seeley Family Student Award
Established in 2007, the Lloyd Seeley Family Student Award provides an annual scholarship for a Prince Edward Collegiate Institute secondary graduate to attend a university or college. This student must be a resident of Prince Edward County and awarded in accordance with the criteria and guidelines set out by the Seeley Family.
The successful student, chosen by Prince Edward Collegiate Institute, will receive $500 in support for their post-secondary education.
ROTARY CLUB OF NAPANEE SERVICE ABOVE SELF STUDENT AWARD
Established in 2024, the Napanee Rotary “Service Above Self” Award recognizes one graduating student from each Lennox & Addington high school who is planning on attending post-secondary education. It is designed to support a student who has demonstrated a dedication to serving their community by leading, or actively participating in initiatives which improve an aspect of their community in a meaningful way.
The three successful students will be chosen by their high schools – Napanee District Secondary School, Ernestown Secondary School, and North Addington Education Centre, and will each receive $1000 in support for their post-secondary education.
